Evaluation of Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation in Motor Function and Neural Rehabilitation. The journal of ECT ABSTRACT:Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is used in neuromodulation to regulate the excitability of the cerebral cortex and induce neural plasticity. It was initially used to rehabilitate patients with neurological diseases. However, with the increasing number of studies involving healthy individuals, this technology is currently used in the field of sports as well. The administration of tDCS to the cerebral cortex, especially over the primary motor cortex (M1), has been found to improve muscle strength, enhance endurance, and promote motor skills in humans. This study mainly summarizes the effects of tDCS on motor function, mainly involving motor promotion of tDCS in healthy athletes and nonathletes, and in patients diagnosed with neurological diseases. The tDCS is a promising and effective tool used to promote motor function by regulating cortical excitability. Promotion of healthy nutrition in primary and secondary cardiovascular disease prevention: a clinical consensus statement from the European Association of Preventive Cardiology. European journal of preventive cardiology BACKGROUND:Poor dietary habits are common and lead to significant morbidity and mortality. However, addressing and improving nutrition in various cardiovascular settings remain sub-optimal. This paper discusses practical approaches to how nutritional counselling and promotion could be undertaken in primary care, cardiac rehabilitation, sports medicine, paediatric cardiology, and public health. DISCUSSION:Nutrition assessment in primary care could improve dietary patterns and use of e-technology is likely to revolutionize this. However, despite technological improvements, the use of smartphone apps to assist with healthier nutrition remains to be thoroughly evaluated. Cardiac rehabilitation programmes should provide individual nutritional plans adapted to the clinical characteristics of the patients and include their families in the dietary management. Nutrition for athletes depends on the sport and the individual and preference should be given to healthy foods, rather than nutritional supplements. Nutritional counselling is also very important in the management of children with familial hypercholesterolaemia and congenital heart disease. Finally, policies taxing unhealthy foods and promoting healthy eating at the population or workplace level could be effective for prevention of cardiovascular diseases. Within each setting, gaps in knowledge are provided. CONCLUSION:This clinical consensus statement contextualizes the clinician's role in nutrition management in primary care, cardiac rehabilitation, sports medicine, and public health, providing practical examples of how this could be achieved. 10.1093/eurjpc/zwad057
Application of Ultrasound Diagnosis Technology Based on Statistical Analysis in Rehabilitation Treatment of Shoulder Sports Injuries. Duan Huiyu,Xun Shenglong,Teng Yusong,Zhang Gong Journal of healthcare engineering Objective:This study uses statistics to analyze the diagnostic significance of ultrasonic exploration for rotator cuff injuries. Methods:For this study, 50 patients with rotator cuff injury or shoulder impingement syndrome admitted to the hospital from September 2017 to January 2019 were selected as the targets of this discussion. The general clinical materials of the patients were retrospectively analyzed, and ultrasound was performed for them. The results of the examination and arthroscopy are compared with the final pathological results. Results:The diagnostic sensitivity of ultrasound in the diagnosis of partial rupture and complete rupture of the supraspinatus tendon was 100%, and the specificity was 55.55%. The diagnostic sensitivity of partial rupture and complete rupture of the subscapular tendon was 100%, and the specificity was 42.8%; there was no significant difference compared with the joint mirror examination, and there was no statistical significance. Conclusion:The thesis adopts ultrasound exploration for patients with rotator cuff injuries with high diagnostic sensitivity. It is a reliable and effective clinical diagnosis method, which is worthy of clinical application and promotion. 10.1155/2021/4867850
